The Multitude Before the Throne: Salvation and Comfort

Revelation 7:9-17

Chapter 7
9 After these things I saw, and behold, a great crowd that no one could number, from every nation and tribe and people and tongue, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands. 10 and they cry out with a loud voice, saying: "Salvation to our God, the one sitting on the throne, and to the Lamb." 11 And all the angels stood around the throne and the elders and the four living creatures, and they fell before the throne on their faces and worshiped God. 12 saying, "Amen! The blessing and the glory and the wisdom and the thanksgiving and the honor and the power and the strength to our God forever and ever. Amen." 13 One of the elders responded, saying to me: “Who are these who have been clothed with the white robes, and where did they come from?” 14 I said to him, “My lord, you know.” And he said to me, “These are the ones coming out of the great tribulation. They washed their robes and whitened them in the blood of the Lamb.” 15 For this reason they are before the throne of God, and they worship him day and night in his temple, and the one sitting on the throne will tabernacle over them. 16 They will never hunger or thirst again. The sun will not fall on them, nor any scorching heat. 17 because the Lamb, the one in the midst of the throne, will shepherd them and will lead them to springs of water of life; and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.
